Painting With A Sip
This week I am reminiscing about the fun I had putting on my first “Painting with a Sip” this past December! It was a ton of work but totally worth it. I had over forty people attend and getting to share some of my work in that way inspired future endeavors.
Initially the thought of putting on this event was fun but when it came right down to it, it is the same as when you are a kid and you hope that people show up to your party or spend the night.
Will people like the idea? Will it be a huge flop? What if I do not have the skills to teach anyone anything? These are some of the questions that went through my head no matter how silly they sound.
It being such a huge success was a huge confidence booster as far as my artwork goes. I know I love it but it was so rewarding to see the smiles on everyone’s faces as they sat to do something truly just fun with their friends. To know I provided them with the opportunity to do that was what made me say “Yes I am definitely doing this again!”
With that said, I will be offering mini classes until I have more room to accommodate a bigger group! I am thinking about six people per class every couple of weeks. There will be wine incorporated…. Yes, there will be wine….to keep up the “Painting with a Sip” theme, and I am sure snacks as well. I am looking forward to starting this up because of how much I enjoyed the first one, and I am hoping before the end of the year my new studio will be up and running then the possibilities are endless.
I will be sharing plans for the studio as we get started, it will be a huge project but I think another amazing step in my dreams I have in mind for my business! Classes will be held in my home until it is finished making for a very cozy laid-back setting. If anyone is interested message me, I will be starting towards the end of March!
