Ready or Not Let's Go
I was thinking on what my second blog post could be, and I was honestly not sure what direction to go with it. I have researched blogs and video blogs a good bit, and bottom line is people apparently want you to be real. I thought about that for a while and wondered what could I be “real” about? Is that not a scary thought for most people?
Putting yourself out there and taking risks would have to be some of the biggest challenges we face in life. We often encourage others to take the leap, but when it comes to doing it ourselves, that is a completely different story. I personally have to think about each important move I make for a long time, probably too long, but that is just the methodical way that I approach things these days. Needless to say, this venture with my artwork has been a long time in the works.
In this post, I wanted to highlight my first “Pop Up” event that I was a part of this past July. It was at a local distillery in Fort Worth where I was able to set up a little booth with a handful of pieces. The event itself resulted in some inquiries, and there were a few connections made. The main accomplishment though was just really pushing myself out in front of the public. It was wonderful to hear the positive comments, and the sense of pride that I felt was even better.
The event was small in the grand scheme of things, but it gave me the confidence to keep moving forward and to try to achieve my dreams. I have quite a long list of dreams to achieve, and even though the continued road to them leaves me exposed, I am hoping each experience good or bad will lead me to right direction!
