Meri Lynn's Nursery

I absolutely love design work, I always have. I don’t get a chance to test my skills all that often, but when I do I enjoy every bit of it! I was able to take the time to put so much love into this perfect little nursery for our angel. Andy enjoyed it a little bit too I think! It ended up completely different than what I originally imagined, but it is even better. I just feel good going into the room and I hope that our little girl will feel the same way one day!

The main focus of the room is a zebra I painted to watch over Meri Lynn’s crib. He is one of my all time favorite pieces, for a number of reasons. The fact that it is the first piece of artwork I have created for her is a reason in itself that it is near and dear to my heart. So much love went into the thought process behind this piece. Another special aspect that made me choose a zebra was that I have a stuffed zebra that I picked out when I was about 18 months old. He was bigger than me at the time but apparently was my favorite! He has been there for the good times and the bad over the years and he even ended up being the perfect size to support my belly once I was a little too big for my pregnancy pillow ha ha! I thought that Meri Lynn needed a zebra of her very own. My family and others have added little hints of cute zebra nic nacs without it being over the top. its the perfect balance!

I hope to get to do more design work as time goes on, it is definitely a dream of mine! Until then, I will just enjoy the little things I get to do to improve our home and make it a little more of a slice of heaven for us!
