This post is mostly just to share the gorgeous photos that I was able to take with the super talented Lauren Mclntire! She was wonderful to work with and so creative. When building a business things like nice photos are so important even though sometimes we get so busy we want to speed past those kind of details. I have so many ideas for future shoots and future design work but until then I hope you all enjoy these photos!

I am a little late with this post because it was a busy, but wonderful week! It was very eventful and today I am trying to catch up on everything that was set aside for the week. I am refreshed and ready to go with a few projects I thought of throughout the week, sometimes the change in scenery and the vibes off of a great trip give my creativity a new boost!

There are some weeks when I feel like I am absolutely chasing my tail. I think of all of the things I need to do and get overwhelmed. Let me just start with saying that I do not have kids yet so to all of you moms I commend you! I am sure I sound pretty silly compared to you superwomen!

I have been working on putting together a yard sale for the past several weeks and we decided this weekend would be the weekend we would try to have it. It has been high for 40 degrees, windy, and even a little rain…. Perfect weather for a yard sale! Believe it or not people did show up and it was a successful sale! I am telling you all this because when going through the house I found a lot of things that brought back memories. Some good, some not so good, but all shaped me into who I am today! I mentioned in my About Me section of this website that I am completely self-taught, which might sound impressive, but trust me, I have been painting for over a decade and am just now figuring out my unique way of doing things. In saying that, in the small business world today, if you want to expand and make your mark you have to evolve. That means you have to come up with new ideas and keep applying your style or talents to each work whether it be painting like me or some other venture.

I was thinking on what my second blog post could be, and I was honestly not sure what direction to go with it. I have researched blogs and video blogs a good bit, and bottom line is people apparently want you to be real. I thought about that for a while and wondered what could I be “real” about? Is that not a scary thought for most people?

The Story Behind the Name
My first blog post i thought needed to be the story that inspired the name of my studio. It is also a part of the about me section of this new website! It is a story that is near and dear to my heart and I go back to it from time to time to remind me of the feeling that began this journey.
